Origins in Milwaukee, WI (1908-1970)
Founded in the heart of Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1908, Atlas Metal Parts initially specialized in stamping, serving local Milwaukee and the Tri-State area.
Operation Moved to Waukesha, WI
In 1970, Atlas Metal Parts initiated its global expansion by relocating to a larger, more accommodating facility in Waukesha, WI. This move marked the onset of its transformation into a leading global supplier, driven by the necessity to expand with the company’s sustained growth.
Under Current Family Ownership
Since 1993, Atlas Metal Parts has been under its current family ownership, witnessing substantial investments in cutting-edge equipment and infrastructure to meet the increasing demand for its manufacturing capabilities.
ISO 9000 Certification
In 1997, recognizing the importance of setting itself apart, Atlas achieved ISO 9000 certification, reflecting its commitment to quality and expansion into new markets, including energy and medical sectors.
Acquisition of Inter-State Tool Design and Manufacturing
In 2015, Atlas expanded its capabilities further by acquiring Inter-State Tool Design and Manufacturing in Muskego, WI. This strategic move transformed Atlas into a one-stop shop, encompassing stamping, fabricating, polishing, welding, machining, tool and die design, and manufacturing. The original Waukesha facility expanded to 140,000 sq. ft., incorporating manufacturing and warehousing.
Certification with the Defense Logistics Agency
With a focus on continuous growth, Atlas Metal Parts achieved certification with the Defense Logistics Agency of the Department of Defense in 2017. This certification, coupled with our quality management initiatives, has solidified Atlas Metal Parts’ well-established reputation in the marketplace.
